Uniting Partners & Linking Gateways
Dear Business Associate,
Welcome to our work-in-progress, the preliminary home page of the new
Dutch-American Business Alliance of AZ
DABA was created to form an economic development engine, founded and headquartered in Arizona, organized as a partnership of international high-tech companies, professional support firms, and institutes of higher learning, with multi-national consultants available on both continents. This allows DABA to present itself as a top resource for private business and government agencies alike, able to dispense specific advice, pragmatic support, hands-on assistance, business consultation and overseas connections, with applicable expertise in various for Arizona desirable specialties. These include the various aspects of Sustainability, Logistics, Renewable Energy, Bio Engineering & Medical, Water Generation & Management, Agriculture & Food Production, Aerospace & Defense, Tourism, and more.
Research shows that 70 % of all of the world’s commerce and a significantly higher percentage of all Foreign Direct Investment still take place across the Atlantic Ocean. DABA’s partnerships wish to build on these existing trusted relationships between Europe and North America that sometimes date back for over 400 years, and leverage the extensive financial, commercial, military, scientific and technological collaboration between our countries. We also submit that the components of international commerce [Import, Export, FDI-in & FDI-out] are inseparably intertwined, that these cannot be considered solely on their own merits, and that one most often begets or enhances the other. As such, DABA forms a driving business force that (i) will act as a catalytic enabler for AZ companies to expand into The Netherlands [and beyond into the EU and EMEA markets], and (ii) attract Dutch or other EU companies to Arizona, looking to expand into the US [and beyond into our NAFTA neighbors]. For both sides of the ocean this includes setting up new businesses or subsidiaries, or forming partnerships with existing companies on the other side [for distribution, local manufacturing, joint-venture, possible acquisition, etc
DABA’s partners focus on the unique assets of specifically Holland and Arizona, as well as on the remarkable overlap in their stated industrial & economic development priorities. They then aim to leverage this common interest, together with their strategic locations [Gateways to their respective regions and surrounding countries] to seize the obvious opportunities for collaboration and for growth of Transatlantic commerce. DABA’s most significant contributed value is its combination of very versatile technical know-how and broad-based business expertise, which produces expanded insights in how markets, product acceptance and business cultures differ, leading to enhanced innovative creativity that would otherwise be non-existent.
DABA has been endorsed by the Consulate General of The Netherlands in San Francisco as its Preferred Private Partner for Arizona.
Thank you for your interest and your patience. If you have any questions regarding DABA in the interim, or to inquire about a becoming a Contributing DABA member or a Sponsoring Partner, please contact:
